Services of the unit

Goals The Information Technology Unit is set up to activate IT services at the college level to serve the educational process, faculty members, students and staff. The Unit undertakes the following tasks in coordination with the central projects of the university: - Operation and maintenance of the information network. - Follow up the technical use of the network and provide technical support to all users. - The solution of all the problems in the devices and networks and coordination with the information network of the University and the Center for Management Information Systems and the Center for e-learning and the project of library automation and training project. - The provision of wireless Internet networks in open spaces in the faculty available to students and faculty - Hardware software update. - Supervising the maintenance and updating of computers and printers. - Activation and activation of e-mail service for students and faculty members. - Supervising the portal of the college and activating the various services available in it. - Use of information technology in all that would serve the educational process and scientific research. - Creating a channel on YouTube that publishes educational and scientific activities, student activities and other activities of the college. - Training faculty and faculty members on information and communication technology through the ICTP training center at the university. - Providing technical support to users and private beneficiaries: - Management information systems applications (MIS) Digital Library and Library Automation Project - E-learning project - Information network infrastructure project. Weekly workshop

Therefore, the Faculty of Physical Education at Tanta University increases the efficiency of educational, research and administrative capacity of the educational system and scientific research by keeping abreast of technological innovations. To update the educational and training programs and curricula and methods of teaching and the development of new patterns of education in line with the global development. In this context, the College seeks to activate the information technology services to reach the beneficiaries of the faculty, students, faculty and staff through the establishment of an IT unit in the Faculty ITUNET in order to increase the effectiveness of the programs available through linking between the beneficiaries and the college using the mechanisms available from networks, Administrative information, digital library and e-learning.
